It is also called as soccer. A team of eleven players and their main attempt is to score a goal by kicking the ball. Like all other games football also has certain rules and regulations which the players are supposed to follow strictly. The goal keeper plays a very important role in defending the ball. The goal is scored by directing the ball between two goal posts. The players of opposing team try to defend the ball. The positions of players also decide the game play. Players use their foot to kick the ball and their body to defend the ball. The concept of free kick is an additional feature in football which helps the players to score an extra point at ease.

Roger Federer!
This one individual has raised the bar of the game to such a level that it would take some time for another to come along. He surpasses Pete Sampras’ record earlier this year by securing his 15th grand slam title and also broke the record for being part of 20 grand slam finals beating the earlier record of 19 set by Lendl. He is still young and has a long way to go but he faces stiff competition from another great of the game, Rafael Nadal. The Wimbledon final of 2008, where the both played against each other has been considered as one of the greatest tennis matches and the rivalry also to be a part of the record books.

Why is it great to be a sportsman?
A perspective of how one views a sportsman differs. One group views him as a person who earns astronomical amounts for just running around the ground, whereas there is another extreme, who literally idolize him as a demigod. So who is this sportsman?
It's not easy being the best especially in a world with a population of 6.6 billion people. Each and every moment your place is jeopardized by a younger and more talented person. So what differentiates the best from the good? It’s simple; they are the ones who take that one extra step to achieve their goals.
I agree that some are born gifted but for the rest they have to work all their lives to reach that level of excellence. In the world of football you see that kids , at the age of 18 or 19 are striking up deals worth millions, but most of these kids do not make it past a few years because they either get lost in the world of luxury and forget that the sport which taught them so much in life. The ones who make it, are the ones which later on would join the league of the best. Hence, talent alone is not important, but it's much simpler than that which seems the hardest; consistency. Hence the next time you see a guy getting around millions of dollars, it’s not as if it was given to him but he earned it, i.e in most cases.
