As we all know, it is a game of cricket between Australia and England. It is being played since 1882. In 1882 for the first time Australia defeated England on an English ground. It was quoted in the news papers that English cricket has died and they were cremated. The remaining ash was taken by the Australians. Then later when England went to play a series against Australia, the papers quoted it as a quest to get back their ashes. From then the series were named The Ashes. It is played every year. He learned golf by seeing others play in the golf club of his area where he worked. He was 21 when he started taking serious training under professionals. Though he has won many events in the past during the Japan tour and the Europe tour, winning a major is always a great thing for a golf player. Even if someone defeats Woods in other events, to defeat him in the majors is a great deal to be achieved. Woods is always the best. The errors in the match had led to his failure in this match. Yang had been careful with his match. His steady performance till the end has created a history. We need to wait until the next event to find out the change in their performance.

The Stick And The Ball Game

Thinking what it is about? It is hockey. It is commonly known as the stick and the ball game. Game rules are very simple. You just need to guide the ball which is usually in white color into the opposite teams net. You are not allowed to touch the ball with any thing apart from the stick. The umpire would give them penalty corners. And sometimes when the rule breaking reaches higher levels free hit is also issued, where a player gets a chance to hit the ball from exactly the same location from where they stopped. Usually a team wins. In case there is a tie between the two teams extra time is issued. Now as a punishment for serious mistakes on the field umpire gives a green card as a warning. When yellow card is issued the player is suspended from the game for some time. A red card is issued during serious offenses on the field which means the player is out of the game for the rest of the match.

The IPL has been a labelled a tremendous success and definitely a very profitable venture undertaken by the BCCI. The first edition took place last year, on the 18th of April. The format to be followed was 20-20 and it consisted of 8 teams which represented 8 different cities of the sub-continent. The rich and the famous competed against each other to own their own team, and they ended up having their dreams fulfilled. Big names such as, Shahrukh Khan, Mukesh Ambani, Vijay Mallya etc.. Ended up owning their own teams and it was a blend where boll ended up owning their own teams and it was a blend where Bollywood meets the Corporate.

The happening of the second season seemed a bit doubtful since the country was having its general elections and the government couldn't provide ample security to the teams.
